After a shuttle from Arthur's Pass, we rode 138 km from Hokitika to Franz Josef. The town of Franz Josef is centered around exploring Franz Josef glacier. The glacier decends from the mountains into a rainforest and ends just short of the Tasman Sea. The ride to Franz Josef was great and our heli-hike on the glacier was a highlight of our trip.
