From Lake Moeraki we set off for Wanaka on our longest ride of the trip. We traveled 111 miles from the Tasman Coast, across the Southern Alps over Haast Pass, and finally along beautiful Lake Hawea. I don't think you could come up with a more scenic ride. In Wanaka we had great food, great hosts at our lodge, and some extra activities including fishing on Lake Wanaka and skydiving.
